Our seasonal Door County bakery located inside The Cherry Hut in Fish Creek. Handmade pies and baked goods with natural ingredients and locally sourced fruit from farmer-owned farms. Open May through October.

Built on Family, Grit, and a Lot of Butter
Kelly Deem started Elsie Mae’s in 2012 with a folding table, a box of her grandmother’s recipes, and a spot at the Kenosha farmers market. Today it’s a USDA-certified production facility in Lake Mills, Wisconsin, a four-brand business with fans across Wisconsin and Northern Illinois, and a name that has shown up at the World Food Championships and on the shelves at Woodman’s.
The name Elsie Mae belongs to Kelly’s grandmother, the woman who first taught her to garden, can, and bake. Her recipes are still at the heart of everything made here. This business has faced more than most along the way, and it’s still standing, still growing, and still rooted in what it was always meant to be.
